Round knobs on my MXR Distortion+ ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I searched the forum for this, and I couldnt find it.
I recently got an MXR Distortion+. I love it!!
What I'm curious about is the fact that it has bog round knobs instead of the toaster knobs that I usully see on pictures. I assume it's a reissue thing?? (Not that I care.) Can anyone enlighten me about that?

And are the "bog round knobs" made of rubber? Because MXR pedals come with rubber "bumpers" on top of the regular knobs, to make it easier to turn the knobs with your feet.

AH. "Bog" is, of course, a typo and should have said, "big".

That must be it, Bongomania. It seemed clear that the purpose was to make them easy to turn with the feet, but I was completely unaware that I had regular knobs under them.

I'm sure that if I were self conscious, I'd be embarassed, but, considering how new I am to using effects, I'm pretty ok with having to ask basic questions. I appreciate the fact that the seasoned vets are willing to take the time to fill me in. thanks!
