running a true bypass loop with a stereo effect.

Sign in to disble this ad
hey everyone,

I need to know how to run the stereo out from my Boss CEB-3 with a single true bypass looper. If have the chorus in the loop with my other effects, can i simply just run the stereo out straight to my amp from the CEB-3? or will it not work since it's in the bypass loop. Would I have to always have the bypass loop engaged in order for it to work?

THanks!

So you have a bypass/looper with a chorus in it? Im a little confused. Using the chorus out defeats the purpose of the looper, doesn't it? Please clarify.

Bypass loops are nearly all mono, not stereo. So you cannot run a stereo signal into them and hope to get stereo out. There may be some esoteric stereo bypass loop box out there, and you could probably have one custom-made, but it's not something I've ever seen in an off-the-shelf box.

In terms of just sending one output of the chorus into the "return" of the looper, that can work fine--but where is the other output going?

And are you running two amps, or how are you doing the "stereo" thing?

depending on the gig and how big of a stage i play ill want my two amps, but alot of the time ill just be using one.

anways

bass > input of true bypass loop (send: Chorus > octave> distortion > envelope filter > return) > amp(s)

And the chorus has to be at the beginning of the chain? Why not this:

bass > True Bypass Loop > (octave > distortion > envelope filter > return) > Chorus > amp(s)

Then a lot of the time you won't be getting any stereo effect anyway.

i just want to know the best way to be able to run the stereo out of the chorus. the main reason i want the loop is so i can engage all the pedals at once. if it's not in the loop then it defeats the purpose of having the loop.

are there any loops with stereo outs on them?

Stereo Effect Switcher, Loop-Master Pedals

looks like this will be what I am looking for. except i dont care for an LED light on it, that way i dont have to buy another daisy chain to power it. I am going to see if my brother can help me build one.

i meant for my chain to run like this btw:

Bass > tuner > loop (octave > distortion > filter > chorus) > amp(s)
