russian big muff vs bass big muff

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey i need a distortion pedal and was wondering which one i should get either the Bass big muff pi or the russian big muff. i like the sound of muse and death from above if that helps. Also how does the bass big muff sound through a guitar. thanks in advance.

As for the Russian vs the Bass big muff, I have both and when I got the bass version I pretty much stopped using the other. However, what you need to do is try both.

But what I can tell you is that I often play guitar through the bass big muff. It's a nice effect, but it doesn't sound like a muff, it sounds more like an overdrive. I use the mode where it blends the original signal in, and then chords come out distorted and single strings come out clean.
