So I am so absolutely giddy over my B3K that I am seriously considering the Harmonic Booster.
Now with $$the constrictions I am leaning towards selling my RB to help fund this endeavor. Is I crazy/silly?
I am thinking that I can get just about what I paid for on the RB and then if I am feeling the urge, I can just buy another one.

Thoughts and concerns?

My thoughts: Rusty Boxes are amazing. You won't regret it, I can pretty much guarantee it.

Also, you shouldn't ask the internet how to spend your money. They'll tell you to get MOAR FUZZ or something...

Agree. I guess I am asking to read between the lines and get some feedback on the Darglass HB, as I didn't see much. So far the smaller builders that I have learned about through TB has been a great eye opener and a godsend.

I think it depends on what you intend to use the harmonic booster for. If I'm not wrong, the Rusty Box has dirt and overdrive? I personally use my Harmonic Booster just to kind of round out my tone, make it less sharp and add warmth. It's great for that.

Since the RB and the B3K fill the same roll (generally speaking), the real issue is whether or not the B3K can cover all of your RB needs. If the two don't overlap completely, I would keep the RB and fund the HB separately. If the two completely overlap, and the RB will just sit on a shelf gathering dust, you might as well sell it.

It is more or less just a preamp to add slight dirt not a di or preamp > power amp. The b3k sounds is overwhelmingly pleasing and really being used as both my slight OD and heavier distortion with an oxide filling in on fuzz.

Chase the sound in your head.
