SABDDI first in signal chain or last?

Sign in to disble this ad
Right now I am only using SABDDI + Ibanez FL9 Flanger + Fender Tuner...I'm currently running the Sansamp 1st in the chain. Based on your experience, and personal opinion, does it sound better with the Sansamp before all the effects or after?

In the past I would use the XLR out from my head to go to the FOH, but I don't like the sound of the Direct out thats on my head.
I wanna use the Sansamp as my DI instead. It has a much warmer sound. I'm just not sure how it will sound with the Flanger infront of the Sansamp going to the FOH.

Tone is a very relative thing, so I think you'll just have to try it.

Personally, I like having my BDDI at the end of my chain. Not only am I able to use it as a D.I. that way, but I think my distortions (particularly the XXL) sound much better in front of the Sansamp than behind it.

Just my opinion.

Well, I rune mine first, and have not been happy when attempting to move it towards the end of my chain, but hey, to each his own.

I use my SansAmp Para Driver at the end of my FX chain. It works best for me as an amp simulator--it adds b@lls and takes the edge off digital effects earlier in the chain. That way I can also use it as a DI.

yep, same here. I find it works best to think of it as an amp.

End. Otherwise it seemed to make my effects "ineffective."
