I just bought a Sadowsky preamp, the latest version. Yes, they try to scare you into spending $25.00 on their power supply stating that they won't warranty the preamp if you use something else. Boy, do I hate it when companies do this.
Actually, what they mean is, you should be using a 9V 200mA Class 2 regulated power supply, pin negative. If your power supply meets those parameters, no problem.
I've been running mine with a $5.00 Danelectro power supply.
BTW, I love what this preamp does for my rig and tone. And I never worry about "what if my amp dies tonight."
