Sadowsky preamp/DI question

I just bought this pedal. Everything I've read & heard about it is true! How it seems to turbocharge good passive basses. It sounds good but the durability is very questionable. The unit I got has flimsy knobs/pots. I'm afraid that if i miss stepping on the the right footswitch i might destroy it. And the knobs wiggles when i turned them. I also have an Aguilar Tone Hammer and I have no issues w/ that. Just prefect. For those who own the Sadowsky preamp pedal, have you had this same issue/s? do you think i should just return it? I already shot roger an email, it's been days and still got no reply. Thanks in advance guys.

I didn't think my Sad DI was flimsy at all. Solid unit, but I have to say that if you have a Tone Hammer I'm not sure there's any need for the Sad. I own both, and they do sound slightly different but it's not that much of a difference. The Sad starts sounding ultra deep and pingy really quickly, so if you want that then I suppose it's nice to have. The Tone Hammer to me is the nicer unit of the two by far.

I have the Sad DI pedal as well. I've never experienced this pedal to be more fragile than any of my other pedals. Maybe you have a lemon? If I were you, I'd try calling the Sadowsky office and see what they have to say.

I never had problems with the Sadowsky and I very like it because of the sound. Nevertheless, due to these knobs I consider it as the most vulnerable part on my pedal board. I did put it on a position where the risk of miss stepping (and destroying one of the knobs) is minimal.
