Is it safe to fly with the Warwick Rockcase?

I have the Pedaltrain 1 with the plasticmolded handcase, and have an opportunity to trade it for a Warwick Rockcase. I know, I lose the option of hiding cables under the board, but it's bigger and the case looks a bit more sturdy than the PT1. I want to be able to check in my board at the airplane and know that it will survive the trip. A friend of mine had a plasticmolded case for his bass and it broke in half after a planetrip!

I'm pretty much broke, so buying the Pedaltrain 2 or Pro with the ATA Flightcase is no option. The Rockcase looks like it will serve well as a replacement. Is that the case? (No pun intended).

I've flown with a Rockcase bass case before, no issues; couldn't comment on the pedalboard, but I imagine that it's much the same.
