Sans amp VT 2 and VT
Is there a large difference between the sans amp vt bass and the vt2?? Other than the programmable presets and such? I mean it's practically the same pedal just smaller and less options correct? It has the same tonal range and possibilities right?

I assume you're talking about the VT Bass Deluxe. It's the same pedal as the VT Bass but with the obvious differences of presets, an effects loop, DI, etc., the only real differences I can think of are the lack of the speaker sim defeat button that the VT Bass v2 has and the reports I've heard that the knobs on the Deluxe version aren't as responsive as on the original pedal - something to due with the nature of having presets.

V2 has a speaker sim defeat switch.
Also, according to Tech21's posts here on TB it "has a different taper on the level control than the original. Both pedals have the same amount of output. V2 has a more gradual level increase than V1."
Awesome pedal. :bassist:

Awesome, thanks guys. I suspected as much. I figured they were pretty much the same just some more things available on the deluxe. Bottom line is I'm still getting a bad a** pedal. :)

Well, I got my sansamp VT2 today!! And I must say after playing through it for just around 30 min., I love it! This thing can be so warm yet still crunch if I need it. I'd like to see what you guys set yours at. I still love my BDDI but this thing has got a certain flavor in it that the BDDI doesn't. I'm still keeping both, but I'll be utilizing the VT2 for a while :)
