Sans Amp VT vs. Bass Driver Deluxe

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a Sans Amp VT pedal and really like what it can do. I was never able to compare the VT pedal to the Bass Driver Deluxe since my local doesn't carry TEC 21 products. Those who have done so, can you describe what the differences are. I would think you could get the same tones of the VT from the BDD. TEC 21 says the VT voicing is based upon the '70s 10" drivers'. I don't know what the voicing is for the BDD.

Additionally, on TEC 21's website they are announcing availability of the VT Bass Deluxe in late April/early May. The photo of it is identical to the BDD except for the color scheme. Anyone know how the VT Bass Deluxe will be different from the BDD.

thanks

Thanks. I had not seen these threads. I think I will get a couple of beers vs. a pot of coffee and wade through.

I coincidently bought both this past week. The reviews that I have read are correct - the VT is warmer with more character. The BDDI still does the tube simmulation well, but the sound is more sterile.

-VT deluxe is the VT with 6 memory options and DI. That's the only difference from the VT.

I have the Sans Amp VT pedal and I like it but I don't use it on a daily basis. In fact I don't use anything on a daily basis. But that's me, one pedal I do like is the Digitech BP200 which has a tuner and many good features worth checking out..
