Sansamp Bass D.I. Deluxe vs. Tech 21 VT Bass Deluxe

This is probably a dumb question, but is there an audible difference in these two pedals? I'm not sure which one I want to buy and am curious as to which is better. They look like twins to me! haha

Anyway, any opinions would be helpful and appreciated.

Thanks!

If you use the search button you can find a lot about these 2 beasts. But in short:

VT: Vintage tones, more mids, more gain on tab
Bassdriver: Modern tones, more lows and a blend knob on tab.

You can even check youtube for the differences

Thanks, I've watched clips and read a bunch, I was just curious what you all might be willing to relay to me. Based on that response, I'd lean toward the Bassdriver.

the vt is an ampeg simulator whereas the bass driver is a more general purpose simulator that has some ampeg tonality to it. so for me, the vt wins.

Well as JimmyM=Ampeg must the same hold for JimmyM=VT due to Ampeg=VT

that's kind of the logic, yes. i won't pretend that the vt is as good as a real tube ampeg, but it darn sure cops a lot of the magic.

Jimmy,

I play through an Ampeg SVT3 & an Ampeg 410 classic. Would it be wise, or too much to run the VT classic in front of it?
