Sansamp Bass Driver v VT Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Is it true that the VT Series is specially voiced to sound and operate exactly like an Ampeg SVT Classic head, and that that is all the VT pedal does.?

Also, that you can get the exact same SVT tones out of the standard Bass Driver and more, such as a Marshall SuperBass and Sunn 2000S emulation, whereas with the VT you can't?

Basically that with the VT you've got limited tonal range, whereas you can get far more versatility in the STANDARD Tech 21 NYC Bass Driver?

I haven't had the VT that long, but I found that the overdrive sounds you can get from it are far better than the ones from the BDDI.

However, the BDDI felt "bigger". More headroomy, perhaps...

Yes. Its many fans would tell you that it does so better than any other available product, analog (like the VT) or digital (amp sims)

I don't know if you'll get the exact sound of an SVT,...maybe close enough.

That said I'd rather lug around a tube amp.

TBH The VT Bass has been posted to death about on these forums. Please do a search before adding to the pile.

I know; I've read them all and not that it's got anything to do with you warwick.hoy, I posted because this specific question has not been addressed directly elsewhere.

Rather than acting like a cock, you could always actually answer the questions I posted, not just the easy bit.......

Incidentally, no one asked what you'd rather lug around.
