Hey guys
Looking for a pedal that will help mold my tone. I've heard nothing but great things about both pedals, but which would you guys prefer? Thanks |

| | | | I use a Sansamp BDDI, and i absolutely love it. But it seems that most people on TB prefer VT Bass..
the VT Bass has a much stronger mid range presence than the BDDI because the BDDI has a bit of a scooped-mids kind of tone. i think they did that to kind of emulate the warm SVT tone w/ the BDDI.
But i also hear the BDDI is more versatile in tone shaping than the VT bass. like... the BDDI will get you a bunch of different great sounding tones and the VT Bass will get you a single or a very few AMAZING tones.
That said, I have no complaints about my BDDI and i love it. |

I use the Bass Driver Programmable because of the flexibility offered by storing presets in the 3 channels and the XLR connection. Also, I don't need as much gain as the VT offers.

Not only that, but I had a BDDI, ended up tossing it for a Programmable BDDI, then added an XXL bass, but didn't care for it all that much. Apparently the VT is a cross between a BDDI and XXL (ironic), and I love it. It's on almost all the time! |

Only thing I think I might do is strip the finish of it (so it's bare metal or just go with a flat-black) and give it a one-off/homemade look. Maybe re-label the controls for the hell of it. This may be the pedal that keeps me from going crazy and buying an all-tube amp . |

It's one of the prettiest pedals out there. But if you do it, just let me know if you ever decide to sell it. I'll be happy to take it off your hands for a fraction of what you could have sold it for with the finish
