Sansamp BDDI microphonic Input jack?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi all, long time lurker first time poster. Your board has been extremely helpful and relevant to me.

Anyway, here's the problem. The Sansamp BDDI (original) turns ANY cable (even Mogami or Canare) that's plugged into the input jack into a microphonic source. It's not a huge issue, as I won't really be moving the pedal, but I'd rather not have any extraneous noise in the signal.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Edit: For clarification, it's only the cable between the BDDI and the next pedal, but this still shouldn't be happening.

The ground lift switch has no effect, unfortunately. Any other suggestions?

When you say you have the original, do you mean the BDDI V1? There were some earlier versions. It would help to know your settings.

Is the pedal itself microphonic? meaning if you have nothing plugged into the pedal but have the drive and presence cranked and tap on the pedal you hear a microphonic noise. If you have the pedal engaged and turn off your bass guitar's volume is that when the cable makes noise?

If you like you can also call our tech support # (973) 777-6996.
