Sansamp California vs Oxford?

Which one do you think would be better for heavy fuzz/ distortion tones? I play through a Fender Precision bass and a Peavey 8x10 cabinet, and I need a preamp.

i think the oxford would be a good choice for heavy fuzz/distortion tones. check out this clip.

The bass clip at 0:32 sounds smooth and heavy in my opinion.

No question, the Oxford would be my choice. I just bought one last week. The California is not designed to be used with bass and the Oxford has a speaker sim defeat button that makes it much better for using an amp. I love mine, and it gets that big beefy Sabbath style bass if that's what you are after.
