Sansamp Deluxe or VT?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all- I'm kicking around getting one of these after hearing my buddy playing through the Deluxe. My quesyion is the Deluxe does "svt" and "flip-top" but how different is it from the VT Deluxe soundwise? Thanks.

You mean the BDDI Deluxe vs. the VT Deluxe, yeah?

I emailed Tech 21 this same question, and got a reply this morning.

Dear Jacob,

Thanks for your inquiry. We haven't begun shipping the VT Deluxe internationally, which would explain why you can't find one in Australia as yet.

The Bass Drivers always have a built-in mid-scoop, and no midrange control, while the VT starts out completely flat (so there's already more midrange content to begin with). From there, you can scoop the mids to resemble the Bass Driver's character, or you can boost them. And the VT's Drive control offers more gain than the Bass Driver... it can get really distorted, and even "prog-rock fuzzy".

BTW... the Bass Driver Deluxe offers the programmable effect loop, too.

Regards,
Lloyd Schwartz, Product Manager
Very helpful, and quick. Certainly live up to their reputation for great customer support IMO.

bd deluxe: kinda sorta gets the tones.

vt deluxe: pedal of the future.

i'd say the vt deluxe wins.

They'll be available within the next couple weeks. If you go to tonefactor, they'll ship one to Australia for $15.

Yes, I am aware of this as I posted this information a couple days ago, after a referral from someone else and then I emailed the company. Thanks.
