Sansamp para driver: Deacon Fat tone?

I was trying to find a deacon fat mids tone, very bright one, can you help me to find it?
I own an Ibanez ergodyne...you recomend to keep the mid eq close or open?
what about the other settings of my bass?
I need that sound for some Queen covers like Another one bites the dust or Dont stop me now...bass with presence, round and fat, with a lot of mids, and warm in highs

I think the key to Mr. Deacon's sound is his Fender P Bass, at least that's what I've seen him play on the DVD Live at Wembley.
