Sansamp Para Driver DI - how well does the mid control work?

I've got a G&L L2500 Tribute which has a spectacular sound...except at my church. For whatever reason the mids from this bass don't gel with the acoustics and I need to scoop the mids at right around 630hz. How's this for funny - the only EQ that I've found outside of a Line 6 Bass PODxt that allows me to scoop at 630hz is on my Behringer combo amp!

How well does the midrange and midrange frequency selector work on the Sansamp Para Driver DI?

I'm sure it does a good tube emulation sound, but could I get a good clean sound out of it?

FYI

I hate 630hz, that's the slider on a graphic that's most likely to propel 12" speaker coils across rooms when tuning feedback out of a PA!

You can get a clean signal out of that as well. Just turn the drive + blend off and you got a DI with a powerful EQ.

I run my G&L Asat trough para driver to power amp.
