SansAmp Programmable?? (Need advice)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey mates;

I need some advice. I’m improving my gear, I used to play a Squier P-Bass direct to a PA through a Digitech BP-80, now I got a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass and a Laney RB4 (sometimes still use the BP-80).

Right now thinking seriously to get rid of the BP and get pure analogue. I’m thinking a SansAmp Bass Driver DI, but I don’t know which should I choose, standard or programmable.

I’m considering programmable cause I want to use something trash, deep and nice clean but I don’t know if it is as good as the original.

Any comment???

The programmable version is sweet. Go for it.

I also have the programmable version and like it a lot. I use a hi-mids setting as well as the almost-identical-to-the-manual slap and overdrive settings. Works very well for me and so does the DI function. The Deluxe has interesting features and will probably be the one I purchase once my PBDDI goes to pedal heaven. Er... there is a heaven for pedals, right ?

It's the same as the original, but with three programmable settings. And, there isn't that much different in price.
