Sansamp RBI as an effect?

Sign in to disble this ad
I wasn't sure whether to post this is amps or effects...

My rig is an Alembic F-1X>QSC 1602PLX>Bergantino HT322. A friend of mine has offered a great deal on his Sansamp RBI. I've been thinking about adding something to add some SVTish-like bite to my rig but love the Alembic and want to keep that tone as well.

Can the RBI be placed in an effects loop and toggled on and off? Would it sound OK, or would I be better off just figuring out some way to run my bass into both pres and both pres into a single power amp?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Simple answer is yes there is a footswitch input on the back of the RBI that can be used with an on/off type footswitch.

Yes. If you don't max the Blend pot it can be used as an effect. It has an input on the back for hot signal, probably you'll use that in effects loop.
