I'm thinking I dont like my RBI anymore, as much as I used to. I love almost everything about it, except that the high end has this really harsh grind to it, which I hate. Could I either replace it with an RPM, or combine it with one to make it calm down a bit with that? I've tried EQ'ing and nothing helps. I wouldn't mind trying out an RPM anyways, but I want some input anyways.
Thanks! |

Thanks! | I assume you keep Presence all the way off (fully counterclockwise)... it's a boost-only control.
My suggestion would be to make sure that Blend is set no higher than 50% (noon)... maybe try 30%, or close to off. Also, keep the Drive control low or off, especially if you have a very hot active bass. |

If you roll it down, the sound may get too muddy and fuzzy, depending on how much drive you set it with though...
Best Regards

Tweak back from there.
It takes the brittleness out of the tone.
