sansamp SVT bass pre amp

I have been searching the threads here and have seen many discussions about this pre amp, but I'd like to get some opinons on what this sounds like in with the LM2. Also, would you put this through the effects loop or in from of the LM2 ? Thanks for any suggestions on this.
