Sansamp VT or OLC Flipster?

Looking for folks who have experience with these pedals, particularly the Flipster since it seems there's less info out there.

I play a MIM J bass through an SVT-6 or an older AH-500X and a Mesa Powerhouse cab. The band runs the gamut from pretty hook-driven indie rock to more progressive post-punk and I'm looking for something fairly versatile but not overpowering on the distortion front. Basically a nice overdrive with some tone-shaping capabilities that won't get too muddy.

Both pedals look great and I'm not really sure which is better for my needs... any thoughts?
