Just had to share... Doing my usual Sunday lurking on the web for local bass gear (CL, Ebay, etc). Did a general search for all things bass on the Guitar Center Used website for a 50 mile radius from my house.
And what should pop up but a "price drop" on a like new Tech 21 VT series bass pedal -- for $69.99.
It's got the photo and everything. So, I call on it and the guy says yes, a customer ordered the pedal but decided he wanted the Leeds instead. So, its there, with the original tin and manual. Less than 2 weeks playing time on it. They had it at $110 with no bites for a month. So, they dropped it yesterday to $69.99.
Guess what's on its way to me.
Sorry to brag. But I love a good deal on bass gear.
Oh, by the way, two other great deals on Bay Area CL today. 1975 Mustang bass, original owner, vintage white with black guard and maple neck -- asking price $450!
And Sunn Model T reissue head with Avatar 4x12 cab with two Celestion GT75 and two vintage 30's. $750 for head and cab. Hell, you could sell the cab and speakers for $300 and you'd only be in the head for $450.
I passed on the last two. But it just shows there are some great deals out there. Hope you all find some good ones too.
