Scored a NOS Boss ME-8B!

I've been wanting one of these since I was a teenager! Well before Jamiroquai (actually around the same time but no one really knew what he was using at the time until Bass Player interviewed him). Come to find out it was also used on "Waterfalls" by TLC! I remember wanting one of these but I think it at the time it was pretty expensive. The thing I remember the most was the fact that the ME-8B sounded as good if not better than some standalone pedals at the time! The T-Wah was exceptional as was some of the synths! Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I'm still loving my ME-8B! I'm waiting on a stereo switcher so I can incorporate it with my new board. I took it to a jam last week and the other players commented on how great it sounded.

Enjoy!

Are you using an expression pedal? I'm thinking about getting one to rock the wah function on this bad boy.

I am, and I use it for pitchshifting, note bends and (the dreaded) ring mod, which I LOVE!

Okay so I got it in yesterday and as expected it was in mint condition! Navigation was a bit of a pain but I got the hang of it thanks to the manual. Now I'm going to address the complain that I read about the compressor being noisy on this unit. It has the "Enhance" feature that the noisy boss limiter has. All you do is reduce the "Enhance" to reduce the noise. At that point the compressor is very usable. Combining it with my Sansamp Bass DI (Not the Diver) it gives me the sound I was hoping to get out of this combo. Love this combo! Very pleased with most of the effects (About 90%). Most of the effects are as good if not better than their pedal equivalents. It doesn't have the fancy graphical menus but it makes up for it in sound.

If possible please provide some sound clips of the SYNTH effect section on this unit.
