Scored some dead pedals on CL last night

here's the haul:

2 Thomas organ crybabies - one missing bottom plate w big square inductor. Don't know about the other. Unknown issues. Likely need pots, but possibly caps as they have been sitting for years.

RAT 2 - looks the same as my reissue, but glossy paint & no LED. Worked until recently he said.

MXR chorus (yellow box w 110 cord) - might work, seller didn't remember.

EH memory man - not deluxe - transformer removed, but included. He took it out because I thought it was causing hum problems.

Maestro octave box - missing foot switch. Previous owner replaced bypass switch with a momentary switch.

All for $25. He knew what they were worth but was moving and didn't have time for ebay.

So does anybody know anything about the EH and the Maestro?
They are what I'm most interested in getting back into shape. (I've heard good things about the MXR, and I know the RAT and Crybaby.)

Damn, awesome score, even if you have to pay a bit to get them working. You could easily get $25 each for them even not working on ebay.

If the delay ICs in the MXR and Memory Man are still good then anything else in them should be fairly easily repaired. If the chips are bad then you might have trouble finding replacements, especially in that early Memory Man which uses a hard to find and possibly expensive SAD4096. Still worth fixing up for what you paid though imo.

I've never heard the Maestro, but hear while it isn't the best octave divider out there that it still sounds pretty decent and different.

The Rat is an 80's Rat I, the last version before the Rat II with LED.

The wahs if both are Thomas Organ have the square TDK inductors, which are not really anything special, but great for modding.

I've got a couple of drawers full of "projects" actually.

I'm an electrical engineer and like fixing stuff for fun. I've been redoing tube amps lately, but I like to do pedals too. (just more money in amps)

Probably going to start with the EH delay and then the Maestro.

Wah's are low on the list. I have a few working wahs including two Crybabys (one mid 90s GCB-95 and a old transition wah with a stack of dimes). I'd like to get it working to check out the difference relative to the other crybabys.

Checked out the MXR chorus recently, and it works great!

Got lucky with that one. I'm hoping to get to the Rat sometime soon. I'd love to compare it to my RAT reissue.
