Scrambler Vs. Blender?

I need a new somthing to build and I wanted to try an octave fuzz (because you can never have enough fuzz), and I was wondering which seems to be the better circuit for bass. My main fear is that the Scrambler won't be loud and intense enough, and that the Blender won't be as like octave-y.

Can somone give me any direct comparisons?

if your building it why not have a scrambler and put a boost inside infront of it or after then it will be loud and intense enough.

The octave effect in the Scrambler is subtle. Much more overdrive/fuzz than octaving. As far as intense, it's intensy as all hell.
