Scratchstopper on effects?

Sign in to disble this ad
Is there any sort of plastic protection for effects? When you have some rare and in good conditions effects, like some Lovetone`s etc. it should be a good investment for some protection. The Ipod have scratchstopper but I want some more boutique protection if you know what I mean
Any suggestions would be a BIG help!

The only thing I can think of (aside from never using the precious pedals) would be to disassemble them and spray the housing with a few layers of clearcoat, like a Rustoleum clear enamel or maybe Varathane.

Thanks for the tips. Maybe if I use all three (Spray some clearcoat on big areas, wear plimsoles and use Ipod scratchstopper on the crucial areas) at least on stage.

Get a True Bypass Looper made. Have as many loops as you have pedals. That way you can have one in each loop, then you only have to turn them all on once at the start of your set. You can then kick them in with the looper, so you never actually have to stomp your pedals on and off, keeping them in better condition.

Yeah, A looper pedal is smart. That way you can jump and stomp like CRAZY on stage without worry to break something

You may also want to put some plexiglass covering over the whole thing to avoid the drunks getting on stage to sing Sweet Home Alabama from dumping a full beer on your beautiful pedals.

+1
I'm also a lover of that mojo that goes on with things as they get used.
