Question To sell or not the sell (that is the question)!

I recently purchased a Boss ODB-3 to repalce my Ibanez PD7. Now, I dont think I will be using the Ibanez pedal live again, but it has quite a unique sound, so may be useful for recording. However, it will probably sit in a draw for a year or so until I find a use for it on one song. Should I sell it and use the money to buy something I really need (like a tyre for my car, it blew up last night )

well yeah they're pretty cheap pedals so you'll be able to buy another in the future and i doubt it'll be discontinued very soon, and if you really need the money then yeah, sell it.

if you didnt need the money i'd say keep it though.

It's an interesting question because I've been in that situation before, except I didn't need money I just didn't think I had a use for my pedal. Then wouldn't you know it, the band I was playing with at the time wrote a song where the tone out of my fuzz pedal would have been awesome.

I agree with Doolz, if you didn't need the money I'd hang on to that pedal.

I'd hang onto it, I have a few distortions/fuzz I don't regularly use but I always pull them out and want them for one tone at any stage,...

for what its worth I love my PD7, its my goto dirt pedal cos its not a tightly compressed fuzz and its not a far too subtle weird sounding light distortion/overdrive... although that can be dialed in when needed it's a 'just right' pedal for me anyways

I can't advocate getting rid of the pedal--you won't make much money on it, and having it around for an added texture here and there will probably be more useful than the (maybe) $30 you'll get for it.
