Show your Zoom B2 settings!

Well I just bought my little Zoom B2.1u and I love it.

Now I wanna see what your settings are, because my dream sound came preset! (at least for solo recordings)
It's the A7 preset, the tremolo sound. I love it for moody soungs or some really slow melodic lines

So come on and start sharing!

Ok, I'll post every patch in this first post, so you have all in one page! So far,

You can attach it like an image. Look for the paper clip in the editor. Then the viewers need the acrobat reader.

I will try and write some of my settings up and post here.

my tweaks from stock are so minor it's not worth listing. only eq, drive and overall output changes. the only major tweaking i've done is on two separate octave up patches, i highly doubt anyone would find a use for those.

well, i did make one bypass patch with everything turned off for using a sansamp. i'd bet you can all figure that one out. i use mine as push button rather than stomp box so pressing two switches at a time was tougher than i wanted to do.

Hi, Bassbengoa,

For those of us who aren't familiar with these devices and their capabilities, are you willing to describe what its primary purposes are and what kinds of sounds it can produce?

Here is a link for detailed information:
http://www.samsontech.com/products/p...1856&brandID=4

It is a multi-effect processor floor unit. It has the basic effects(chorus, flanger, phase, delay, octive, etc). It also has amp and speaker cabinet emulators. A wide range of sounds can be produced.

I use it mainly for compression, amp, and speaker cabs settings since I play direct most of the time.

I think the autowah/envelope filter is lacking a little. BUt overall the unit works well and is pretty tough.

I like this idea. I am going to progam one tonight.

I received one of these as a Christmas present this year from my wife & kids. Different basses, gear...etc can make such a difference with the way the same settings can sound on different equipment...but here goes.

Here' my Gallien-Krueger-Rocco Prestia type patch for finger style funk. Please forgive the formatting

----------------------Knobs
------------Setting---1-----2-----3

Comp---------CP-----2-----3----68
Wah/Efx-------oF
Drive/Synth---TU----oF----10----40
ZNR/mix-------nr-----7----1.0--- 60
LO EQ---------LE-----3-----3----(-2)
HI EQ---------HE-----0-----0------2
Mod/Sfx-------oF
Reverb--------oF
Control--------Ct-----vL----BP----80

I use zero cab modeling with my amp (as shown), and turn up the cab modeling when going direct into the PA at practice (knob 1 in play mode).

Question: When ever I adjust the overall patch volume and save it ( Control - knob 3), the set is not retained after cycling power. I roll this setting down to 50 for all patches, press store twice, and it's there for all patches. Turn off the power, power back up, and it's back at 80. Anyone else experiencing this ?

It does take some playing with. I use mine mainly for church where we play direct with no amps but use a earbud monitor system. Playing direct sounded clean but pretty dry.

I have been playing with the amp and speaker mods to come up with some clean vintage sounds. I am getting a Dean Stylist next week so I think I will start progamming a bank each for specifc basses.

I plan on getting this unit after the 1st of the year. I'll report back on my thoughts then. Although I have played it at guitar center and was quite impressed.

It's just amazing the amount of clean sounds you can get out of it.

Thanks - it sounded good with the Lakland, but so-so with the Jazz. Modified it for the jazz bass as follows:

----------------------Knobs
------------Setting---1-----2-----3

Comp---------CP-----2-----3----68
Wah/Efx-------oF
Drive/Synth---TU-----3----10----50
ZNR/mix-------nr-----7----1.0--- 50
LO EQ---------LE-----8-----3----(-2)
HI EQ---------HE-----0-----0------2
Mod/Sfx-------oF
Reverb--------oF

I'd love to see what people have come up with as a patch that's close to a Dunlop 105Q wah pedal with direct signal mix.
