Signal Chain? Im Currently running a few effects and was wondering which is the most effective to maximize the sounds (Ive got quite a grungy sound) anyhow, pedals are Proco "The RAT" Distortion Pedal T-Rex Sweeper Bass Chorus Pedal Tech 21 Sansamp Bass Driver DI MXR Carbon Copy Delay Pedal Also, I was wondering, I read that Distortion/overdrive effects work better just fed through the input direct from the bass and left out of any effects loop, is this actually true as I have noticed before I started to expand my setup I just used to run distortion through the Input and since I added it into the loop the effect seems diminished |
Nice set of pedals. Setting up an effect chain is mostly a question of experimenting, but I'd start with this: BASS > Proco "The RAT" Distortion Pedal > BDDI > T-Rex Sweeper Bass Chorus Pedal > MXR Carbon Copy Delay Pedal > AMP This article sheds light on pedal order. It's from TBer Bongomania. http://www.ovnilab.com/articles/chain.shtml As for your effect loop question, I can't answer, I've never used one. Always went for the input. Seems most bassists do. |
If you're using the sansamp DI out to a mixer, you should put that last so that all of your effects are sent to the PA (if that is your desired effect). |
Thank you for your advice, ill check it out |
