Some Mods...

Sign in to disble this ad
Since I'm now officaly strapped for cash I think I might turn to modding some of my pedals to keep the effects GAS at bay a little longer.

The first I'd want to do is mod the piss out my muff. I really want to add the noise gate mentioned here but instead of but have an on off switch and a pot to control it. Anyone know if that's possible?

I also want to add a temporary switch to my Whammy IV meaning that I can just tap it and it outputs effected single as long as it's held down and doesn't toggle the effect.

any help would be appreciated.

Adding a switch to the noise gate is going to be super easy as all you're doing in the first place is putting a potentiometer in parallel with a resistor that's already in place. All you need to do is put an SPST switch before the pot and you're set.

Do you want the Whammy IV to always function in momentary mode or do you want to be able to switch between momentary and regular/latching?

I'd want to be able to switch between the two.

forgot to mention that I also want to add the eq circuit from the GEB-7 in place of the tone knob as mentioned at the bottom of that muff page.
