I was wondering whether or not to wait for the Malekko 616 before springing for the Carbon Copy, and now the Memory Boy has entered the ring! Anyone have any info on it?

there's always room for another analog delay - particularly if it's a compact version of the memory man! (I am guessing it won't have modulation)

That depends on who's listening.

I played on the Mole years ago. It was perfect for this Tony Levin Sledgehammer tone.

So are we thinking that the Memory Boy is a miniature version of the SMMw/H? Because I love my SMMw/H, and I was thinking about getting another delay pedal. Only if it can do self osc though.

No, it should be a mini version of the Deluxe Memory Man, ie analog not digital. Which means plenty of oscillation!

I'm curious how The Mole will compare to my clone of the original/Hog's Foot. The Memory Boy looks tempting...

At the least, one of those pedals will be good for Sludge and Doom.

I play hardcore, and I'm thinking the Mole could be an "instant breakdown" switch.

Is the Enigma another filter? If so, I'll be the first one to have it.

One the low end gets filtered out, it's gone (unless you have a pedal that will generate new low frequencies). But if there's any low end left, it would be great for boosting it up.

True but it is amazing what little lows that circuit will find and bring up, I mean it will make a Devi Ever disaster fuzz work on bass!

My complaint about the mole as it is is I wish that it had a blend then it would be a very powerful sound shaping tool. Why I say this is when I use my Hog's Foot I tend to put it in a blender [barge] to get the most out of what it does.
