Some of you might hate me for this...(rare Boss pedal content)

...but I have to share []

The other day, I responded to an ad for a Boss Tremolo at a rather reasonable price. I thought it could be a PN2 and asked for the model name.

I got a quick mail reply; "Sorry, i got it wrong in the ad, it's no tremolo, it's a VB2 Vibrato"
[:0][:0][:0][:0][:0]

I asked if he had a picture of it (I've been scammed of a non-existing VB2 in the past) and that evening received a pic of a dinged but nice VB2. Needless to say I replied that i would be happy to buy it.

So, now I have my own VB2! Got it in the mail today and it works beatuifully -it really is a great sound not least for bass guitar!

And so...the price. I said it was resonable...might have been understating. I once bought a VB2 at a local music store for about 75$ and sold it on for over 400$...that time I thought it was just to expensive to keep around. This time it's staying on!

The price i paid?

350 SEK = 50$ !!!

Now, here it is:

I'm glad someone who is going to keep it and use it got that deal, rather than someone who would just flip it.

Me, I would flip it

Now, that tells me you've never tried one; turned up the volume, closed your eyes, played that sweet "open-D w/3rd on the G-string" doublestop and just held that chord and let it vibrate.....vibrate.....vibrate.....mmmmm...

I remember that pedal. Wow, now that I think about it, I guess I haven't seen one in awhile. I didn't know they were so rare.

Heh,...Mikke, I saw your thread over at the Boss Area,...Nice score. For those who don't know the VB-2 was only in production for a short time (sources say a little over a year) and it took four years to sell the stock (1982-1986). It's a Japanese made pedal as well.

Likewise. I wish I'd either read this thread 4 years ago or had the one that was offered to me back then available today.
