someone jacked all of my pedals

Sign in to disble this ad
ok, saturday morning i head to practice to find out that at the gig the previous night, someone jacked the bag containing all of my cables, my onespot, and all of my dirt pedals. All in all, i'm down nearly $200 and i've lost my boss ODB-3, ehx metal muff, and the real loss, my first homemade fuzzface pedal. needless to say, i'm a little pissed.

However, you guys can lend a huge hand by recommending me a solid all-in-one type fuzz that can help fill the void.

The battering ram looks really nice, but i can't do the 190 dollar price tag. I'm also a sucker for ehx stuff, so the bass big muff has caught my eye, especially the price, but i'm not sold on its versatility.

Any thoughts?

What do you mean by "versatile"? What kind of fuzz/OD/distortion do you like?

Versatility usually comes at a price. Perhaps a decent pedal for you would be a programmable Sansamp, that way you could obtain multiple tones, and at a decently lower cost.

But I don't know if that would be over the top enough for you.

Way better than any of the current EHX stuff. Ask matt to put in a flat mid switch for you.

Be sure to post this in the "lost/stolen gear" section. You never know.

As for some dirt, I'd heartily recommend the EXH BBM. It's quite versatile, from simple OD to heavy fuzz.

I also like the ProCo Turborat. Worth looking into.

For Fuzz I really like the Swollen Pickle mk2. While it does not do just straight overdrive its a pretty versatile fuzz.
