I just got an email back from the infamous Sonny!
Apparently, I'm on "The List" for a brand new Sanford and Sonny Bluebeard fuzz, to be built and shipped sometime between October and November.
I originally emailed through the Atomic Music site and didn't get a response. Then, I was on myspace one day a few weeks later listening to the new Baroness track and I saw a link to Sonny's myspace page. I figured "why not" and sent him a pm through there too. Much to my surprise he responded a few days later. We pm'd a couple more times on myspace and he appologized for not checking his emails, and then told me to email him again, to which he responded the same day.
Long story short, he's busy with all kinds of family stuff and hasn't been doing anything Bluebeard related for a while, but is starting to build again in October "whenever he has a spare minute". Early estimates put my pedal around Halloween! What a treat that would be!
Now all I need to do is start a new band....

I emailed him in july and didn't recieve any response. I ended up ordering The Battering Ram by Wounded Paw on the 12th of July and should have it today or tommarrow. Honestly you may want to explore other options. The Bluebeard sounds great on Bassfuzz.com but that might be the closest you get to hearing it live and you might need a fuzz for the new band you'll be putting together. |

As for the carrots...well you'll catch on eventually.

Yeah, I was just saying that's 2 random pedals to be choosing between. The Bluebeard is an intense heavy fuzz and the Diesel Dawg is modelled after the overdrive channel form a GK amp. I've never tried a Diesel Dawg but I saw one used live with a hollow-body bass with flatwounds and it sounded AWESOME. I'd say you probably want to look at overdrives (search for the many threads about it) but then again you will probably also want a fuzz at some stage to pair with it. |

I'm still stoaked that he's gonna(allegedly) work on a Phaser after his awesome family stuff allows the time to do it!
