Why is bass better than guitar? Because you can't play 'Hey there Delilah' on bass.

the 80s cure stuff (faith, seventeen seconds, etc) uses lots of chorus.

disposition by TOOL is all delay. fun to play too!

Duff used chorus a lot throughout his time with Guns n Roses; You Could Be Mine is a good'un.

IIRC, there's a couple of nice examples of bass delay on Pink Floyds A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album. Could be wrong though; I haven't listened to it in a while.

Bass track on the Trees by Rush is dripping with chorus. And btw, the Floyd song is One of These Days, although on the track it's actually two basses together.

Great bass lick ten seconds in, with lots of chorus innit.

Many songs by New Order feature what you seek...

But I think my fave tune with delay and chorus is "Like An Animal" by the Glove... The bass totally makes the song...

Yeah, I acutally came back to post about that one; the delay on the album in my previous post is much more subtle; I'll have another listen at some point and post back with specific tracks.

One of These Days is definitely a good one to check out though!

of course tool!

anyway, ive said this before, but "primus - the carpenter and the dainty bride" off of animals should not try to act like people. delay all over that song.

some of the coolest bass chorus is, as stated above, in the 80s. "the power station - get it on (bang a gong" off some album i forgot. anyway, its got a killer bass solo thing in the middle. the chorus is just killer on it. great bass player, but i want to say he died of something odd like food poisoning, plus, again, from what ive heard he did not play that solo; was some studio fellow.

Lots of stuff by:

Joy Division
Siouxsie and the Banshees
Magazine

That's chorus. Not so sure about delay. Someone mentioned "One of These Days." King Crimson's "Sleepless" also comes to mind.

+1 Lot of Joy Division/New Order (via Peter Hook) material uses these effects.

+2 The Cure (via Simon Gallup) uses these almost as always on pedals. Listen to just about any song on their albums "Pornography," "Disintegration" or "Bloodflowers" for starters.

Was just coming into this thread to post that. Awesome tune, and a great use of delay to create a really nice bass riff.
