Songs using Chorus

Sign in to disble this ad
I just recently bought meself a Boss CE5 Chorus. I've been enjoying playing around with it on my own (through my Fender Precision), but would be interested in knowing what songs are out there where you can hear it being used. One song I can think of is "Rooster" by Alice in Chains and "Walking on the Moon" by the Police seems to be using it, too.

Can anyone here give any other good examples to listen to?

id normally use it for anything AIC. rotten apple especially.

as well as nirvana. anything grunge, it seems. they wanted weird wobbly sounds, and thats where they seemed to get it

I think Jaco used some on his solo album.

That's a nice chorus, BTW. I used to have one, appreciated the hi- and lo-pass filters, great for customizing your sound.

A lot of fretless recordings use chorus, as well as a lot of compression
Jaco & Pino spring to mind immediately.

I have an old Boss CE-3 stomp box, but haven't used it in years.

Yeah, at the climax of Rosetta Stoned, that chorus part is my favorite use of chorus.

Walking On The Moon is my all-time, favorite song with a chorus on it. So yeah, Sting definitely used it on that song...in a tantric position...while skanking...

so the filters on that, will it make it ONLY chorus the lows? or at least cut all the high sound from it so it SOUNDS like only the lows are chorusing? because my DOD, as amazing as it sounds, it choruses all my high mid stuff as well, and it doesnt sound right.

i was thinking about running a loop of the chorus and an EQ, but the CE5 sounds like a cheaper option.

With the two filters on the CE-5, you can make it only chorus on the lows, only chorus on the highs, or only chorus in between. Plus there's a mix knob (it might be called "effects level") to mix the amount of dry and chorused signal.

It's digital, so it eats batteries like crazy -- one reason I decided to find me an analog chorus. :-)

well i love my analog chorus, but it isnt dark enough, and its a real pain to have to turn my tone way down every time i want chorus.

Ya, my analog chorus is a bit bright, but I like it that way.

Nice! Great bass line. John Taylor is definitely underappreciated, that whole album has some great stuff on it.

Much of New Order's stuff has chorus on the bass guitar

Most of my band's material has chorus on the bass
