You can take any of your favorite chorus and reverb pedals and make em rack mount. Just get yourself a 12v relay and run a circuit out to a stomp switch. rack mount the effect in a box and put ears on it. you could probably fit about 4 pedal guts in a singe rack mount space. The relay thing may not work. I don't know if a relay would tonesuck or not. I am trying to figure that out for myself to see if I can keep a signal chain in the rack since I am wireless and just run a single footswitch board with the control to the effects or mutes or channel selectors. Kinda like some of the newer amps do. I am making a pedal switch for my tuner that mutes and switches the channels on it. I was also thinking of trying to take a clean boost pedal and make a hammond box or something to house it and put rack ears on it. Then see if I could switch it on and off from the floor without taking the signal to the floor. If a relay doesn't take away from the tone then you could pass signal through the relay and use the switch on the floor to switch the relay on and off so that it turns the effect. or in my case the boost on and off. in theory it works.
They do make some pretty nice reverb units that are rack mount and that's all they do is reverb. They can be pricey. most of them I see have other effects also though. Which is what you are wanting to stay away from.

Why not get a chorus and reverb pedal and put them on a rack shelf?

There are however, some pedal companies who might be able to make you one of their units in a 1U rack space. Unfortunately, I completely forget which ones will do so.

I like the idea of taking pedals and mounting them, all i would have to do would be to take the guts out and throw it in a box per say right? for the switch couldnt you just set the current switch (activated by the stomp) to on, run it out to a 1/4" jack, and set up a on off foot switch to it, should work the same as the normal stomp box switch thats on it right? i think im going to buy a cheapo pedal and try it out (that way i dont jack up a good one if i mess up :P

couldnt you just use the power cord from the pedal to poewr it, you shouldnt need a relay right?

I relay would just keep your from sending your guitar/bass signal all the way out to the floor. all of your signal would stay in the rack.

TC Electronic M350.
It's cheap, easy to use, has 99 presets and the quality is really good.

I think you'll find it's surprisingly difficult to find either a dedicated rackmount chorus or reverb unit without it being a "billion and 1 multi effect units for me".

For a simple rackmount unit that has good choruses and reverbs, I'd suggest an Alesis Midiverb 4...heck, even the Nanoverb has reverb and chorus.

There are better options out there, but this one's pretty simple and sounds decent.

ran across a BOSS RCE-10 today on ebay, im super interested in it, i bid on it and well see what happens, if i win and like it i might get the reverb brother of it, (cant remember the name off hand) that way they can sit next to eachother as they are half units

The only chorus that I liked so far: Carl Martin bass chorus, TC SCF, not cheap at all.
