SOS Boss GT6B

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently got a Boss GT6Band have a little problem with the logic of the thing.
The four pedals for changing the effect, they seem to have two modes, like, for changing the patch within the bank ("bank/number") or under "utility" can be changed to "up/down. But on the four pedals themselvs, under where it sais "1comp" "2Dist" "3Chorus" "4rev/dly" "bypass", there is another line with "wah" "fx1" "fx2" "SOS" and "crtl".
How can I change to use that option?

What I am trying to do is use the SOS function. There are several patches which allow me to use SOS but others don't ...how can I asign the SOS function to a patch? or is that even how it's done?
Plus, when recording SOS is it possible to play different sounds over another? (Like recording a dist phrase and then soloing over it with a clean sound...)

Thanks for any help

Lexx--I won't answer all your questions in this post but it's a start.

The SOS is part of the Reverb/Delay section so you'd press the Rev/Dly button (below the knob) and use the parameter buttons and data wheel to select the SOS and "SOSMode"--HiQuality is 3 seconds, LongTime is 6. Page 29 and 54 in the GT-6B manual have more SOS info.

The GT-6B is deep but very flexible. Hope this helps--more later.

If I remember correctly you scroll through the options on the delay setting its there at the end. The long mode still only gives you around 5 seconds which is still pretty lame.
