I've not tried the others but the Soul Provider works well on bass.

You need to check out Devi Ever's fx, all those pedals you mentioned pale in comparison.

Ultimately it depends on what sound you are going for. The only one of those three I've used is the XXLB and it's still on my board, but I've heard clips of the other two. The Soul Provider is a very different beast. Are you looking for a heavy distortion or a glitchy fuzz? The FX Doctor seems to be in between. At least from the clips posted on their website, it doesn't seem to be as glitchy and synthetic sounding as the guitar version.

All seem to work fine on bass. The XXL loses just a bit of lows, but not nearly as much as most bass distortions I've used. I can't really say the same for the other two since I haven't used them myself.

What sound are you looking for?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Oh wait! you were serious?

To answer the OP's question the soul provider loses no low end it adds it since it adds 1-2 octaves down which can actually be dialled out to various degrees but you have no control over the saturation and gain of the pedal which can make it less usable but if you want a super heavy hige gain fuzz sound this is where it's at.

The XXL bass I've always loved this as a raunchy distortion but it is more middle of the road which might be a good thing if you're planning on using it alot.

Not tried the FX Doctor, as for the Devi Ever stuff it all sounds so similar and none are really designed with bass primarily in mind (Waits for someone to post the bass fuzz) they are good noise making tools but not so usable in day to day playing.

IMHO of course

Yeah, those three FX sound different: A feat Devi is yet to pull off.
