Sound samples of bass w/POG and HOG?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know where I could hear what a bass sounds like thru the EH POG and HOG pedals? The EH site has plenty of guitar samples - I haven't seen any with bass (for POG and HOG)

In reading thru the forum I'm seeing various references to the tone but it would really be helpful to actually be able to hear it.

Here's some. I'd go into the details, but I can't remember them. Oh, it's a HOG.

I have a few clips of my bass through a full POG in the effects wiki. I have upgraded to a HOG, but I haven't had a chance to make clips with it yet.

I posted some HOG clips in the wiki as well. Not anything fantastic, but it lets you know what everything sounds like.

I've been meaning to record some too... perhaps this will spur me to do so.

Thanks for the clips everyone! I heard what I wanted to hear.

I didn't even realize there was an effects Wiki - guess I need to put my glasses on!

Thanks again!

I have some around somewhere....

Here we go:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=6980541 <-- The POG is in there with the octave down. There is a little bit of Hematoma/Boost in there, but it should give you some idea of what it sound like.

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page...songID=7002009 <-- This is my POG and LPB-1. 1st 1/2 is just the POG, then with the LPB. Again its just the sub octave....

I became the proud owner of a POG a couple of days ago, and I've stuck a sample up here:

There's some nasty clipping, but that's all my fault!

I've added it to the effects wiki, along with some bad monkey, nano bass balls and nano small stone clips.

Cool - more samples.

How are these in poly operation? - i.e. - play a chord (higher range I would think would result in a cleaner sound)

Do they track well?

My µPOG tracks perfect with chords. It gets a little muddy in the low range, but theres not much space left there in my rig anyways. Makes the chords in the intro to "Schism" sound veritably βΘИΞКЯŲŜĦÏИĞ®.

I currently have my HOG after a Holy Stain which has a fuzz/ overdrive section and then a Reverb/ Tremolo/ Pitch Shift section and it is beautiful after that. The pitch shift on the Stain has a little delay and the HOG tracks that delay like a champ. It sounds sahweet with the fuzz and tremolo.
