Soundblox® Pro Multiwave Bass Distortion as preamp/D.I

I`m new here.
like the title, i wonder if I can use Soundblox® Pro Multiwave Bass Distortion as and preamp/DI.
i sometime play out and from where i live, there`s hardly any show that has an bass amp. So I have to run all my gig through the mixer, and it sucks.
and i just got my Soundblox used from my friend. So anyone has experiences with it???
thank in advance

I've done this a couple of times, try it. You might like it.

The MWD Pro does not have "speaker cabinet" emulation, but the EQ and perhaps some mild distortion will certainly give you some more control and flexibility than what you have now. Some of our videos are created "direct". and they sound quite good.

I agree. Give it a try.

thank guys, i tried it through my friend's marshall MB450, pluged my bass to the pedal and to the return input. it sounds great.
i will try it with a mixer
but my main concern is the "volume". I used to own a Sansamp bass D.I, I usually turned the volume on the mixer all the way up and adjusted the level knock on the Sansamp to match with the guitar and drum. ut the MWD uses preset and it makes adjusting the volume on the pedal difficult.
CAn u share any experience

If you have trouble feeding the Mixer a loud enough signal, don't bypass the MWBD; just use one of the 3 presets on each "page" as a "dry". The MWBD should have plenty of volume output. I can't remember the exact maximum Vp-p but I think I saw rail-rail op-amps in there, which points at "more clean volume, than your regular stomp-box" ... err I think that's the best way to put it in laymans term.
