I got this pedal ( http://www.musiciansfriend.com/produ...dal?sku=482331) around a week ago, and so far I think it's a great sounding chorus pedal. For 50 bucks, it is a steal. It is very versatile because it has knobs for depth, speed, mix, and eq. The depth and speed are standard controls, the mix is from fully dry to fully wet, so you can get a vibrato tone, and the eq is a high-end roll-off. The pedal is true-bypass, has metal jacks, and is analog. All clips are done with my Squier P Bass, strung with rounds, run into a BBE Opto Stomp then the chorus, into my Fender Bassman 150. From there, I send the DI out on my amp into my computer. All clips, except one, are recorded with a pick. The tone knob on my bass is fully up. All clips are recorded into Audacity. Here are the clips:

Still don't know if it's better than the old 18V Cool Cats, but I'm gonna think about it.
But those new ones are really ugly! |

But those new ones are really ugly! | They really don't look too bad, at least they are metal and true-bypass. |

...props to Spanky. |

It seems to me as if the Cool Cat range is full of great deals. I got a Cool Cat Vibe yesterday, and so far I like it. It's solidly put together - or so it seems - and sounds good. So, if I ever feel the need for a chorus, I'll seriously consider a Danelectro. |

If the bypass and construction weren't a joke (and if it didn't crap out on me) I would've kept it. I upgraded to a Analogman Clonechorus, but for the price, the Coolcat is a steal. |

I've got the Fuzz, Vibe, Tremolo, and Metal II from the Cool Cat line in my collection. Solid as a tank, and even though I haven't had a whole lot of time with the three I just got friday, I've already been able to get some great sounds out of them.

I briefly owend an EBS Unichorus but found it to subtle for my tastes.
From the soundclips I've heard, the Cool Cat seems to be a little rounder and warmer than the EBS.
Or maybe I'm just wrong |

Anyone know how the Danelectro CC chorus compares to the Boss bass chorus? I have the boss and find it rather subtle, can i get a thicker chorus from the dano?
