Source Audio Bass Envelope Filter and Hot Hand 3 Troubles
Hey guys I recently got a Source Audio BEF Pro and A Hot Hand 3 I've been having troubles learning how to work it I've been trying to get a successful phaser tone, flanger tone, Dubstep sound like skrillex (because krewella, hardwell, an other dubsteppers don't tickle my fancy), chorus tones and delay I know I just listed the spectrum of sounds you can get from the BEF but if any of you guys could take some time and help out a Noob to the Source audio world that would be much appreciated thanks!
We have created many tutorial videos. Have you checked those out?
By the way, the BEF Pro is primarily a filter pedal, but it has does have some phaser effects.
It is not a flanger, chorus, or delay pedal.
Yes sir I have checked your videos, I thought you could get chorus, delay, and flange out of it whoops!
Your videos are helpful I just need some help trying to get the wobbles with the hot hand and a clean more richer phase sound
a question if I may
I use the HH with 3LeafAudio Wonderlove through the EXP input, although it's responding quite ok, it feels like it's not always covering all the ranges possible, as if it's going from one extreme to another and not always covering the middle ... has anyone tried to compare the use of the HH with a SA filter against the use with an Analog filter? is there much difference???
By the way it's an honor talking to the president of source audio! I love all of your products I just wish i had enough money to afford them! Sorry just had to throw that out there
Here you go:
I also think this video is excellent. She breaks it down really well.
Are there any tips for Hot hand 3 with Manta.
I just got my HH3, but not really having much luck.
I had a couple settings that when i pulled my hand away the pulse would get slower
and speed up closer to the bass. but nothing that got really responsive
wobble style like in the manta vid around 1 minute mark.
These are the settings that Jon uses for Hot Hand Wobbles:
Effect: single peak #6
Depth set at 1 to 2 oclock
Frequency set at 9 oclock
Resonance fully counterclockwise
mix is full clockwise (full wet - no low retain)
drive is at 2 oclock
distortion type either 5 or 6
modulation source set to Hot Hand
speed knob should match what works for the player (controls the smoothing function)
Make sure HH3 is in default mode (green-green)
You can always send a note to email@example.com for more help!
Awesome Mr. President. Sounds great, Thanks!
I realized I was setting the hot hand to the speed knob to begin with.
Now that I've taken more time with this setting and the manual, I have my deal
calibrated right with the axis I want and everything.
