Is it possible? With any of their pedals?

Edit: I mean vibrato/whammy/pitch modulation, not volume modulation. Sorry D:

Accoding to the site, all of their pedals can be used with the Hot Hand system, so I don't see why not? Not sure what paramater it would control for the Tremolo though

At least in my mind, there's a bit of confusion about what you're asking for. Your thread title says Tremolo Effect as in volume modulation) but then you mention a trem bar aka whammy bar which would be pitch modulation and is properly called vibrato.

If you're really asking about tremolo sounds I could be wrong here but I don't believe there's a way to do that. Source Audio doesn't offer a tremolo and I don't see a way to do it with one of their other pedals.

If you're asking about vibrato, I know their flanger is hot hand compatible and has a vibrato mode. How effective that setup would be I don't know and is probably a better question for the SA guys.

Check out my BEF Pro page. I managed a couple tremolo-like effects. Vibrato effect, I never tried but I doubt it. Though sometimes filter voices can kind of trick you into hearing pitch based changes. Sometimes you can use chorus effects as a vibrato-like effect.

No worries, that mixup has been happening since Leo Fender first put a VIBRATO bar on a Stratocaster calling it a strat trem. Or when Fender made the Vibroverb amp which actually had a tremolo effect. Either way, it's Leo's fault. Given that he gave the bass world the P, the Jazz, the Stingray and G&L I think we can forgive him.

I'm pretty sure he's looking for more of a whammy bar/whammy pedal sound though.

Anyway, my best guess is that you'd be a bit disappointed using the Hot Hand on the vibrato setting of the SA Flanger, but a dedicated pitch shifter that used the Hot Hand technology would be pretty cool. I'd float that idea past the Source Audio crew since they always seem receptive to new ideas.

I emailed Source Audio with the pitch modulation - hot hand question and gave them the suggestion as well.

The Tri-Mod Flanger has a vibrato setting that you could hot hand. And I have. It worked just fine.

Though, one of my cats chewed up the rubber finger band, so I need to rig up a replacement before I can have that fun again.

So it sounds like a Whammy? But with a Hot Hand?

Luckily for me, if that happened at my house, I'd have a handy supply of catgut.... *laugh*

(For the sensitive, no, I wouldn't really do this.)
