Source Audio Programmable EQ - Live Sound Engineer's Friend or Foe?

Ok, so I've read up on the Source Audio Programmable EQ and love the concept and features and see a LOT of potential for it in my effects setup.

My only concern at this point is whether or not sound crews will be peeved at mid-show EQ changes coming through their FOH desk or not. If anyone could share their live-show experiences with this thing I'd love to hear it.

I can't see how it would annoy the engineer any more than switching a fuzz pedal on between songs or a chorus pedal on the chorus. Unless you're using extreme EQ shifts where the overall output changes dramatically it'll probably effect the sound man less than the above mentioned changes.
