Anyone else?
I've never had that issue

I may have just discovered the first shortcoming I've had with the MWBD Pro.

Can't turn off the expression input at all, let alone on a preset basis. (Whereas the hothand input can be disabled.)

So if you have a multi output expression pedal that can control other pedals at the same time (like, say, the new SA dual expression), you're gonna get the morphing on the MWBD Pro whether you want it for a particular preset or not.

The only way I see around it is to clone any preset you don't want to morph to the one "underneath" it, so it ends up morphing between two identical sounds. But that means giving up a precious preset.

Or am I missing something? Some hidden way to turn it off? Some clever trick to get around this? I do want to be able morph between two of them, but not any of the other four.

Not sure. I don't really hear a massive difference on any setting using my SA dual expression pedal.

Here's what you do...

Set a preset in bank one to something pretty tame. Singleband normal, low gain, just a bit of grit.

Set the same footswitch in bank two to something wild and over the top. Multiband foldback or octave or whatever. High gain craziness.

Now try the expression pedal to morph between them. You'll definitely notice. If you don't, something is broken.

I like it to go from light grit to a heavier fuzz/drive. Same distortion, just different drive & blend. (Low & drier to high & wetter.) But I only want it on those two presets. I'd like the others to stay put, even if I'm working the exp pedal to do fun things with the BEF Pro.

I'm not a club guy, but maybe should stick me on the list. Since SA gear is taking up the vast majority of real estate on my pedalboard now.

Parallel outputs. That would make the Programmable EQ even more awesome and make it super easy for creating parallel FX chains.

Would such a mod be possible with the Programmable EQ?

Except I do want it on and in the mix... just not morphing while using the exp for the BEF. Say I just want a wah going on after whatever dist I have dialed in.

Can't do it without losing a preset to an identical dist, or trying to unplug the exp from the dist on a tight board.

So parallel won't help. Maybe some sort of disconnect footswitch for the exp?

The Multiwave Pro was designed before the Dual Expression had even been thought up so it does not have any built in support for the Dual Exp.

Since the Dual Exp. has two outputs, your best solution may be to just reach down and unplug it from the Multiwave when you don't want it to morph. That way your preset will hold and you can still use the expression on your wah.

Also, this is definitely one of the benefits of the Soundblox2 version. I'm not even using the expression capabilities of the Multiwave right now, but I do have it connected to the dual expression pedal and from it to the Dimension Reverb.

I meant 'on the road' in the more uhhh...figurative? sense.

Should I download the Talkbass app? Will it change my life for the better?

Depends on how you define "better".

My opinion? Download the TB app.

Better = TB on the throne.

That's kinda what I figured. Only trouble with unplugging is it's kinda tight. Might flip which is using which side of it. But some kind of disconnect switch sounds pretty attractive... I can see wanting to do it mid-tune.

The one I'd like to morph is a slight grit that is always on, morphing to the same with more gain, less dry. I dig that. While the ones I don't are various things that are fun in combo with the BEF, but wouldn't likely use for a whole tune.

But I really end up using just three more than anything else, so giving up the other three for morphing (or slight variations that work) isn't such a big deal, really.

If I had software for saving patches & stuff it'd be pretty easy to deal with.

And "nay" on the TB app. Back and forth, back and forth, drives me nuts.

Multiple threads in multiple tabs at one FTW. Yes, even on my phone.

I'm on my phone at work via the TB app. Boom! It can be glitchy at times but well worth it.

I have the TB app on Android and so far only use it for emergencies and scanning posts in a pinch. It is well executed, nice to have, and good to have, but not the "go to" path for TB.

Keep in mind that I am an engineering, geeky, company-guy!!
