Source Audio Tri-Mod Phaser

Has anyone here tried one of these? It looks really promising as a bass phaser.

For one, you can control the frequency spectrum that it sweeps through so you get keep it out of the lows. This is absolutely huge. Not only would it solve any low end loss problems, but it would also give the phaser a lot more presence in a band setting since you'd be able to tweak the frequency sweep in response to your guitarist(s).

Secondly, you can control the sweep via its LFO or envelope. Envelope phaser... awesome.

You can control depth and rate like pretty much any other digital phaser, and it has a plethora of sweep modes (more than the PH-3).

Obviously, it IS digital (could be a big downside for some here). That being said, I'm really really curious about this thing.

Yeah I saw that. I've been trying to decide whether I like my PH-3 or Nano Stone more. I'm pretty much 100% satisfied with everything on my board at the moment except for my phaser. I like both phasers but a) definitely need more flexibility than the nano offers and b) love the up and down modes on the PH-3 but don't dig its "normal" phasing quite as much as the nano.

I don't have much space on my board, was thinking I might give the Maxon a whirl, but found this for less money and was thoroughly intrigued.

I figure I'll beat RCCollins to the punch and recommend the EHX Stereo Polyphase, as it offers a similar control scheme to the Source TriMod phaser, while sounding similar to the 'Stone.

On the LFO side, there are start and stop controls so you can tailor the sweep to effect as little or as much of the frequency spectrum as you like- high and low- or no sweep at all. In addition to the triangle (or sine, forget which), it has a squarewave lfo which bares resemblance to the ph3's step mode in some settings. There is also an exp input for manual control of the sweep.

On the envelope side you have gooey envelope phasing and start & stop controls to tailor the range and direction of the envelope.

The sound (iirc) was somewhere between the Small Stone's two color switch modes so by itself I found it a bit subtle, but with any dirt in the mix it can be as bright/loud as you want it to be.

The Polyphase definitely looks cool but unfortunately I definitely don't have room for one on my board. I also don't use enough phaser to justify having one that occupies so much pedal board real estate. I'd buy the Moog MF-101 before the Polyphase.
