specific question about the akai headrush e2 and manrings teen town cover/tribute

ok, i'm looking at buying an e2, but i kinda need this stupidly specific question answered first...

can you redo the last overdub with the e2 or not? everything i've found written about it online seems to say you can't, that if you want to redo one overdub, you have to redo all of them... (but you can keep the original loop remains)

SO... why then does michael manring clearly seem to be able to redo the last overdub on that teen town thing on youtube (and proceed to ?

either it can be done on just the akai, or he's using other effects pedals?

or in other words, if he's just using the akai to loop, how the hell is he managing to do what he's doing if you can't redo the last overdub (i assume and hope its a quick answer, that you can redo the last overdub)

seems to me like this is a silly question but its been bugging me for a while and there's nothing clear about it online that i can find...

No, I don't think you can redo just the last. FWIW I own a Headrush E2.

You can dump everything back to the first "bass (base) loop" and start layering again.

I don't think Manring is something as simple as the Akai headrush.

There are some nice things about the Headrush, but it takes some getting used to.

that manring thing is funny. i like the shreds better, it's more musical.

back on topic, i was actually at the bass day that that happened, i think it was '98... way back when i was a wee lad of 17 years... he had 2 lexicon jam-man's in his rack, i think... at least one... he was the jam-man dude.
